petesphotographyjapan > Temple in the sky This shot came in the top 10 in Japan for national HDR competition recently. This place is called Yamadera. They are sacred temples up high on a mountain side in Yamagatta prefecture. After a long drive from Fukushima we had to climb up 1000 stairs and perch my tripod on a tiny little narrow stair case blocking other visitors to get this shot. Shot with Canon 40D Sigma 15-30mm f3.5 EX 5 exposures developed with Photomatix and Lightroom

petesphotographyjapan > The Tattoo man's Hummer. My mate who is a tattoo artist owns this big crazy beast. I was wandering around on lunch break at work when I found a pretty nice sky behind his car and thought it might make for an interesting pic so I went and grabbed my camera and made this one.
